Virginia's First U.S. House District has been represented by Rob Wittman (Republican) since December 13, 2007.  It is one of among 435 house districts that each include about 710,000 people.

Conservative congressman Wittman consistently votes with the Republicans and supports the Trump agenda. He likes to think he is strong on defense. He raised about $1 million for each of his past elections. He considered running for governor in 2017 but changed his mind. Former delegate in the VA General Assembly.
